Ohhh, that f*#@ing toy!
Is it just me, or does every parent have a toy of their child's that they absolutely despise, hate, and want to throw in the garbage?! Seriously?
Well, I have one. And THAT toy is
THAT piece of junk. There are a number of reasons why I hate this toy.
First of all, it is the loudest, most annoying thing on the planet. Obviously it's a piano so it plays music, but it also has the microphone and all my kids like to do is yell into it. Ugh. Secondly, every time my nieces and nephews come over, it is a screaming, crying, fit match over this stupid thing. All the kids love it and it's inevitable that they fight over it. I have lately been putting it away where they can't see it when I know they are coming over. The third reason why I hate this thing is because it is constantly falling apart. I mean, every few minutes my son brings the pieces out to me, crying, saying "fix it!" Do you see the blue legs and the bar on the bottom connected to the two legs? Well, those are the pieces that are always falling apart. The legs snap into the piano part, and the bar on the bottom snaps into the legs. Well, the "snapping parts" are not very well made, which is obviously why it falls apart so much.
Do any of your children have this dreaded toy? Am I the only one that hates it? What made me want to write this post was because so far tonight as the kids have been playing in their room, for only about half an hour, my son has brought the dang thing out to me three times crying for me to fix it. As I was fixing it for the third time, I seriously mumbled some cuss words under my breath and declared that when hes not looking, I'm going to throw it away. I don't know, maybe I won't. Because I will feel really bad since he loves the dumb thing, and I'll feel bad because it was a gift from a friend for his birthday. But I just can't stand it anymore. Maybe I can give it to goodwill or something and make it some other mom's headache. Haha, that would probably be mean.
I do LOVE the chair that came with it though. It's really sturdy, which has always seemed weird to me since the rest of it isn't. He uses the chair at our coffee table to eat his meals. So that part, I love.
But ugh, THAT toy! Parents, if you see this in the store, please, run far, far away!!!
Does your child have THAT toy?
