I decided I wanted to write four individual blogs for each person to get to know our wonderful family. I want my readers to get to know us a little better. I will start with your lovely author!
I'm positive you've figured out my name by now. My name, in which I have always despised and hated my parents for, is Amber. I was born January 9th 1988, making me twenty years old. I have lived in the Sacramento area my whole life. My parents divorced when I was two and I have always been with my mom and older brother. I have never really cared much for my father. I sometimes saw him and my step mom, who later had 2 more sons, giving me 2 half brothers, but "seeing" him never really developed any kind of father-daughter relationship between us. To this day, he's like a stranger to me. My mom on the other hand, has always been the number one person I can rely on... my rock, and my best friend. I am very close to my older brother, and also all of my aunts and uncles. I'm very big on family, but enough about them, more about me!
Skipping through my early childhood... I met my hubby when I was 13. He moved in next door to us and I instantly had a huge crush. Aww! So cute right? Hehe. We've been best friends ever since. But I will leave the rest of that tale for when I write his story.
I've always dreamt of being a nurse and still have high hopes for myself, and I wanted to start college, but on my 18th birthday I was absolutely blessed with the greatest surprise of my life: we were expecting our first baby! Not that I couldn't have accomplished going to school and raising a baby, but I put my plans on hold to focus on my beautiful son. And what do ya know? SURPRISE! Ooops, we did it again! Yes, oh my gosh, both of my children were absolute surprises, not planned, but the greatest gift from God we could have ever asked for! 47 weeks to the day after our son was born, we welcomed our daughter. At only 19 years old, I was already a mom of two. So unexpected and unpredicted, but I believe everything happens for a reason, and I know my miracles are here because God wanted them to be! I get a lot of criticism for becoming a mom of two so early and fast in my young life, but I love it and would not have had it any other way!
And here we are 14 months later, as a family of four. I will save the rest of their stories for later.
I guess that's a tid bit of my "life story" but here are some other things I'll share to get to know me better. Maybe some of my hobbies, or my favorite things... Oh, heck, I'll just throw some random stuff at you!
I love bright colors, but I also love baby pink and blue.
I love coffee, and I cannot function without caffeine everyday.
I love to cook.
I often think I have OCD. I am a perfectionist and everything in my house must be the way I want it- organized, neat and in it's own place, or I will go crazy.
My favorite season is Fall, and my favorite holiday is Christmas.
I am 5"1' & I weigh... hahahaha nice try! :-]
I love photography and scrapbooking.
I am addicted to myspace (feel free to add me.. lol)
I have 6 piercings (4 in ears, belly button & nose) and 1 tattoo. I know, I'm such a rebel.
My favorite tv shows are Lost and First 48.
I'm really good at Rock Band. Wanna play?
My favorite actor is Jim Carey, I'm a sucker for comedies.
I have an obsession with shoes, and I cannot wear an outfit if I don't have the right shoes to go with it. It's stupid and not practical, I know.
I make the best sweet tea in the world, ask around.
Chocolate is my weakness. But isn't that every woman?
I have always wanted a big family, with lots of kids. So our family is not complete. At least we're still young and have a long time to worry about more babies :0)
To sum it up: I am a young, hubby adoring, baby making, tattooed and pierced, co-sleeping, weight losing, healthy eating, yummy cooking, shoe obsessing, coffee loving, caffeine addicted, loves laughing, diaper changing, mini-van driving, non-circumcising, sleep deprived, blogging, tv watching, sweet tea drinking, sports loving, 49er cheering, myspace surfing, family loving, wonderfully blessed, mommy & wife! And loving every minute of it!
I hope you got to know me a little better.
Any questions, feel free to ask! I love comments, so leave 'em. Hehe.
Stay tuned for the rest of my family's stories!
