Okay, Okay. Maybe I did.
They actually aren't even panties, either. They are bloomers that belong under a dress. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Oh well.
I have a perfectly good explanation.
He ran out of clean underwear and I am REALLY trying to get this potty training thing into gear. I would love it if he were to be fully toilet trained within one month. That would be so great. I have tried and tried with him for the last few months and he has went a couple times, just randomly whenever he feels like he wants to. But today I was really consistent, yet patient at the same time. And I have to say this was probably the first day of some real full force "training." Lol.
It went okay. Could have been better, could have been worse.
He woke up with a diaper on and right away I took it off and sat him on the potty. He did not go, but we put underwear on him and ate breakfast. After, I put him on the potty again and he went #1! I was soo proud of him. I set the timer all day like a few people had tipped me about. I think it helped a little.
There were some accidents after that. Three pee accidents and one poop accident. But he did actually go in the potty four times today. So I think 4/8 is not too bad for our first day!
When it was time for bed I just knew he would not be able to stay dry throughout the night so I tried to put a diaper on him. He was NOT having it. He loved his underwear so much that he refused to put a diaper on and threw a screaming fit for about 30 minutes. I finally did get one on him though. Tomorrow we are definitely going out and buying some pull-ups for bed time.
I just really hope my boy is well on his way to being potty trained!
Anyone have any tips? I know a lot of you mommies have boys!

Ugh.
Potty training is the worst, and unfortunately, I don't really have any tips. Nothing I did really "worked"; I just had to wait until things 'clicked' with each boy, and then it was almost an overnight transformation!
Good luck...I'll be thinking about you! :-)
I, too, have no advice.
Our oldest--a girl--was fully trained, bedtime and all, by her second b'day. Going into it with our second--a BOY--I knew that sometimes boys are harder to train. I waited until I saw any signs from him. That put us around 2 1/2 this last summer. Long story short. He lost interest and hasn't showed any interest since. We've tried. And let's just say, I'm now in no hurry with him.
Good luck and let me know if you find any fabulous training tip. I'd love to hear it.
Tiff
p.s. I LOVE that you have irish twins.
How fun--and busy--is that!! They are both adorable.
HAHAHA...nice one Mom. Thanks for your reassuring words on my Graduates post...yeah that was a strange thing to find...glad I spotted it...my son loves those things!
