Here we go.. It's Monday again! Time to share what I did not do this week! Head on over and join in MckMama's weekly fun at my charming kids.
It does not still feel like Sunday to me because of the fact that I haven't went to bed yet. It is not 2 am. I would certainly not be sitting here on the computer at that time of night! Not me!
And because it is not 2 in the morning I most certainly did not just come back from grocery shopping! Who would go shopping at that hour? I wouldn't. Because we were not out of everything in our fridge and cupboards and I did not decide that if I didn't go shopping tonight we'd have nothing to eat for breakfast. We always have our kitchen full of all the necessities. And even if we didn't, I would have went shopping at a normal hour. Not at 1 in the morning! I was not amazed at how speedy I shopped and how quiet it was there without a toddler or two tagging along! I definitely did not enjoy the peace of that! :o)
I was not proud of myself that I got enough food for one week and the grocery bill was under $100. I was also not totally proud of myself for the first half hour I was at the store for not putting any junk in the cart. I did not have tons of fresh fruits and vegetables and whole grain foods piled in the cart. I then did not throw some ice cream and brownies on top and head to the check out!
Hubby and I did not have an early dinner Saturday night, then found ourselves wanting a snack while watching a movie. We did not decide we were going to get McDonald's ice cream and then when we got there we did not only get ice cream but also a big mac with fries for each of us. Who does that? We already had dinner! Only pigs would do that!
I am not so stalkerish and addicted to this blogging world that I most certainly did not think of MckMama while I ate the said McDonald's!
Since my last Not me! Monday post, I still have not been slacking with our Christmas shopping. I still do not only have 4 out of 16 people on our list done! That does not mean I only have 9 days left to buy gifts for 12 people! No way!
On Thursday I did not post a blog about Dallas' aunt and then never came back to make an update!
---------------------------------------------------------
Since I did, in fact, never update about the situation, I will do so now.
Sorry to say, his aunt passed away Saturday the 13th at 6:14am. We were told she passed very peacefully and in no pain. They ran quite a few tests before she died and it was determined that she would have been brain dead.
An autopsy will be done to determine cause of death because doctors were still unsure of what exactly happened. When we find out the results of that I will be sure to share.
His aunt Peggy Adams was 53 years old and left behind her husband Steve of 35 years, 3 daughters, 11 grandchildren, and a huge extended family. She was an amazing woman who was always happy and made everyone smile. She will be dearly missed.
Sadly, there were no funds of any kind set aside for funeral services, so at the moment we are doing our best to conduct a few fundraisers. We are holding a bake sale this weekend and a family friend is baking holiday pies and taking orders for those. Hopefully everything works out and we will be able to give her a wonderful memorial.
Thank you for your prayers!
May she rest in peace.
