Busy. Beautiful.

BUSY!

Haven't really had much time to post. We're making some big decisions for our family. Work wise. I must tell you about them later :)

I've been working on my photography skills. So much fun. I can never take too many pictures of my gorgeous children. So I'll leave you with this lovely little lady!

BEAUTIFUL!

6 months

I've been saying for a couple of weeks that I can't believe Chase will be 6 months old! Very soon. It's unreal. I should know, ya know, already having 2 other children, that time really flies by. They sure don't stay little for very long at all. But I still can't believe it. Half of a year gone by already. Every month that has always gone by as my children were babies, we've always waited for their monthly "birthday." Ya know, their 3 month birthday, or their 6 month birthday. Even though it's not a technical birthday, it's always been something kind of special to celebrate. We realized though, the other day, that this month Chase won't technically get to have his half birthday. He was born on August 30th. So every month on the 30th we always get to say "Yay, Chase, you're THIS many months today." Well, there is no February 30th, so what do we say? He turns 6 months old on February 28th, or on March 2nd? Lol.
I know it doesn't really matter. I just am in disbelief that so much time has passed by. He's such a big boy already!

We love you Chase! Happy 6 month birthday! Which ever day it might be! :)

To infinity and beyond

Dallas definitely has a new obsession with Toy Story. My mom had an old VHS tape of the movie at her house and about a year ago he watched it. Ever since then he's been stuck on Buzz & Woody. We bought him the first and second movies on DVD and he's already excited for number three to come out in June. It will be his first movie theater experience, but we're ALL excited as a family to go and see it.

He's actually SO obsessed that he insists we call him Buzz. Buzz Lightyear. "Buzz Lightyear to the rescue."
I love this little boy. To infinity.... and beyond!!!

RIP to an amazing woman

We recently had a very tragic loss in the small town where I grew up. Christine Ingle had her life taken the night of February 16th. She was driving down a somewhat busy road in the "country" side of town, when a 19 year old kid was doing 70+ mph and failed to stop at his stop sign and blind sided her car. She was dead on the scene. My best friend was driving right behind her when it happened. She was my best friends aunt and godmother. And a very good friend of the family.

Christine was a very loving, silly, wonderful woman. She was the single mother to a beautiful little girl. 10 year old Haylee has now lost her mother. Christine worked incredibly hard to give everything she could to her daughter. Since 1998 she worked at a very popular, yet small restaurant in town and all of her costumers adored her. She leaves behind an identical twin sister, two brothers, her mother and father, nieces and nephews, and many many friends.

The driver of the other vehicle is facing manslaughter charges. In his vehicle he had 4 passengers, 2 of which are in very critical condition. I've heard word from relatives of the other victims that they are in comas and on life support. I believe 1 or 2 of them were dead on the scene and had to be revived and have had to have many surgeries so far. It's definitely not certain if they will make it or not.

I just want to ask for prayers. Prayers that Christine's family and friends can find peace in her death and grieve as easily as possible. Also prayers for the other victims. Their lives are now at stake. And prayers that justice is served.

Life is so precious. One second you can be driving home from work, and the next you can be gone. Cherish every moment. Love with all you have. Tomorrow is not promised.

RIP Christine. You will be missed.

Getting to know Chase

Does everyone like the new look of my blog? I had quite a few things to update. I'm not sure if anyone has read all the new things under all the pictures on my side bar. I FINALLY added Chase. Ahem. I really did abandon my blog, huh?

Anyway, I wanted you all to get to know my wonderful little guy!

Mr. Chase is almost 6 months old now. And he sure is the apple of all of our eyes!

He's a very happy baby boy and always has the biggest smiles for his mommy!

His sissy and bubba just absolutely adore him, as he does them. They probably give him a thousand hugs and kisses every day. It's a very precious thing to watch.

He is pretty easy to please. He loves to eat, sleep, jump in his jumper and play peek a boo with his daddy. Some of his other favorite things are chewing on everything and playing with his feet!

He's meeting all of his milestones like a champ. He's gradually starting baby food, and I am trying to give him all of it homemade. He's learning to sit and roll and scoot. I just know he'll be mobile in no time at all. He's all gums right now, but we're pretty sure we will be seeing some teeth very shortly!

He is just an absolute joy to be with and love and watch grow! He will be our last baby for quite a while so we are just trying to soak it all up.

We love our sweet handsome boy!

Spring & Curls

This little missy enjoyed some very beautiful weather today.

We sure are excited for Spring. And it looks like it's coming quick!

The kids played outside today after lunch time. Dallas was too busy playing with his baseball and riding his bike and wouldn't let me take any pictures of him. Stubborn little boy.

But I enjoyed watching sissy walk around and just admire the bright sun (even though she kept saying it was hurting her eyes) and play in the grass. I think she was confused why it was so warm and sunny out.

And then, being the little ham that she is, she'd look over at me every once in a while, and say "Mommy, cheese!" Since she knew I had my camera :)

What a beautiful Spring like day. And of course a beautiful curly haired baby girl too!

Surprise!!

What's THIS? A new blog post? :)
Yes, yes, I know. I have officially fallen off of the face of the earth in blog land. I have still been reading a few people's blogs although I rarely comment. And I do facebook a lot. I just thought actually keeping up with writing on my blog was a little too much work. I want to try to keep up though. I miss all my blog friends!

You probably wouldn't even recognize my kids, ya know, if I showed you a picture. Which, of course, I WILL. :)

Our big boy has absolutely officially lost any ounce of baby-ness he's had. It's gone. He's three and a half. And a very big boy. He's been potty trained for quite a few months now. We're looking into preschools for him to start this Fall. Unbelievable. That really makes his mommy sad.

THIS big girl is still undoubtedly the princess of the family. Little miss is talking up a storm. We're starting the potty training process with her now, at two and a half years old. I hope she gets it by three. She's been a daddy's girl more than ever lately and is absolutely in love with her baby brother. She "mommys" him a lot. Always wants to feed him. Change him. Burp him. Love him, hug him, kiss him. And I just love it. She's a wonderful big sissy!

Chase is now almost SIX months old. Yep, I said SIX. Holy cow, where has the time gone? He started eating solids not too long ago. He loves it but he's still trying to get the hang of it. He babbles up a storm all day long. Loves jumping in his jumperoo. Adores his big sissy. Thinks his big brother is the funniest thing in the world. It's the cutest. He doesn't really like to laugh and giggle for anyone else other than his big bubba. It's very precious. The little guy is starting to sit up unassisted. He still has no teeth. He rolls and rolls and rolls bunches of times when I put him down for play time or tummy time. He scoots a lot too. I'm pretty sure we will have a crawler in the next two months or so. My big boy weighs a very healthy 19 pounds now. He's just doing great and we love him to pieces.

Dallas and I are doing great too. We've been trying to work on "us" a lot lately. We just felt the last few years that the kids were in the way of time for us. And it really sucked. I guess that's what having three kids in under three years does to you though. But we're working on us and it's been nice. We went to San Francisco for Valentine's Day weekend. Alone, just the two of us. It was great. We had lots of fun. It was a little weird being alone and not having the kids with us. There was actually more to talk about for once other than diapers, naps, snacks and bedtime. We really needed it though and I am glad we went. He is currently taking his 6 weeks paid family leave from when Chase was born. So it has also been nice to have him home and help me out a bit.

Life has just been really good (and busy) for us lately. I hope some of you are still out there and will still read when I DO happen to blog. I really do want to try to pick it back up again.

Aren't they just the CUTEST?! Hehe :)

Updates

I know I have not been on here in a while to share updates and most importantly PICTURES!

We're all doing pretty good. Three fifths of our household had the flu. Luckily it wasn't too bad and everyone is fine now.

I never posted when my big boy turned THREE! :-( Been so busy! BUT we had a party for both Dallas and Kaelynn this month, celebrating their second and third birthdays. It was a blast. We had pizza, cake and ice cream, and all of the kids jumped in the bounce house.

For Dallas' birthday we went and bought him some big boy undies and I am proud to say my son is officially POTTY TRAINED!!! Yay! It took some hard work for about a week, but he caught on so quickly. I'm so proud. He had his three year check up and my boy is so super tall and skinny. He's only 30lbs, but 40 inches tall. His pediatrician isn't too worried about his weight, since he eats okay and mostly healthy. He IS a little picky, but I'm thinking about adding a little more of "fatty" foods to his diet. He's not a big meat eater though. Kaelynn weighs MORE than him at 32lbs. Crazy.

Halloween was a blast. The kids loved trick or treating. We just took down the decorations today and I promised Dallas in a couple weeks we'll put up Christmas stuff. He's very excited for Christmas. He keeps talking about Santa, and Christmas trees, and presents of course. Lol.

Chase is now two months old and is growing like you would not believe. My chubby boy has almost doubled his birth weight in just 9 weeks. Talk about HEALTHY :-)

I must share some pictures now! ;-) I hope you're all doing fantastic!
